Rear bearing seal removed.

Front bearing with seal removed.
|
The rear bearing had the markings 6201 LUA made by ntn, and the front 6303 RDDC3 made by koyo.
I ordered new bearings from Simplybearings
6201 2RSR
6303 2RSRC3
The numbers determine which bearing and the 2RSR refer to them having a rubber seal either side, the C3 is something to do with clearance.
Good service from them, bearings came quickly and were the ones I ordered, was about £7 all in with delivery.

Okay now it's time to remove them, I don't have any fancy pullers or anything and this is diy right! So I improvised.
That’s a couple of pieces of angle iron with the hammer to space it, You want it so the bearing just sits on the edges of the iron and then use a suitable punch, piece of threaded bar or something to drive the rotor through the bearing. Might need someone to catch it here, I used my knee.

Now the front bearing needs to come off, I clamped the square plate behind the bearing in the vice and again punched the rotor through it. The plate got a tiny bit out of shape but one clout with the hammer when it was off and it was all flat again.
